This thesis was conducted to compare the effects of floor rearing and net-rearing on performance of broiler chicks using experiment research and Investigation report.1. Experiment research: Eight hundred 1-day old healthy broilers were allocated randomly into floor-rearing and net-rearing groups. Each group contained 400 chicks with 100 broilers as a replicate. The results were as follows: compared with floor-rearing, broiler's weight of net-rearing increased by 6.48%, 9.14%, 6.35%, 5.39% respectively in 3-6weeks, and in 3-5weeks broiler's weight increased significantly (.P<0.05). FCR was reduced by 3.57% (P<0.05 ) in the whole feeding periods. Broiler's death rate of net-rearing was reduced remarkably (P<0.10) compared with those in floor-rearing group in the whole feeding periods. Net rearing elevated the half dressing percentage of chicks by 2.29%(P<0.05) . Analysis of the economic benefit indicated that: compared with floor rearing, net rearing could reduce feeding cost and gain 0.28 yuan more profit.2. Investigation report: Fourteen broiler chicken houses were selected to compare the effect of net rearing and floor rearing on growth performance of chicks. The results showed that net rearing increased chicks' body weight gain at 3 and 5 weeks of age. Surviving rates of chicks in every periods were elevated significantly (.P<0.10) by feeding type of net rearing.Combined with the results of experiment study and investigation report, net rearing could improve the growth of broiler chicks at 3-6 weeks of age and decrease mortality rate. The mode of net rearing should be popularized in the practice of broiler industry according to the results of the thesis.
