The tetraploid mulberry variety has big leaf, thick mesophyll and high quality leaf. It is an effective approach to increase leafs quality by breeding and spreading the tetraploid mulberry. But the generic tetraploid mulberry has low leaf yield and low grow power. The blend of the tetraploid and the diploid can improve the weakness of the low leaf yield of tetraploid effectively. In this study we use the mature mulberry induction technique which can produce the mix of chromosome, and the new mulberry variety "Luyoul" has been bred by doubling, selecting and breeding the chromosome of Xuan 792". Most of the cell chromosome of "Luyoul" is tetraploid, mixed a little of diploid, so it expresses a character of mosaic, it not only represents tetraploid's big leaf, thick mesophyll and high quality characters, but also have flourishing grow power character of matrix "Xuan 792". The testing results of the area: the cocoon shell weight per ten thousand four-instar silkworm and cocoon crop per 100kg mulberry leaves of "Luyoul" increase 8.21%, 5.00% than "Husang32" respectively, the number of good eggs per moth in spring and autumn increases 13.24%, 12.75% than "Husang32" respectively, so it is a good mulberry variety for parent silkworm rearing. The leaf yield is 10.41% higher than "Husang32".The shoot is thick and short, the leaf yield per meter is high, increase 61.28%, 54.79% in spring and autumn than "Husang32" respectively. The flake leaf rate is high, 4.89 percentage higher than "Husang32", the exponent of gain is high. The testing results of production in country: the leaf yield per hectare of "Luyoul" increases about 20% than "Husang32". The cocoon crop per box eggs increases 7%. "Luyoul" has strong anti- cold and anti-wind power, and the ability of anti-mulberry dwarf disease increases 2 - 3 times than "Husang32",but the power of anti-Pseudomonas syringae pv.mori Van Hall is slightly weak. It has been approved by the northern silkworm area, and applied in production of mulberry.
