| Sea-buckthorn is an afforesting tree which plays an important role in reusing farmland for forest., and is economy-valuable. Ningxia province is suitable for sea-buckthorn' growth, but the development of it is slow. In recent years, we introduce some good cultivars of sea-buckthorn from Inner Mongolian province. In our research, we found that the growth condition of different cultivars and cross-hybrid offspring differ a little, especially introducing the sea-buckthorn to the middle region of Ningxia province. The result demonstrated that the introduced cultivars and the cross-hybrid offspring grew well and the yielded more fruits. The rates of survival and preserving are much high, and the plants grew well and adapted to the environment there. And then we chose the best cultivars from them. As a result, we chose 28 cultivars that are adapted the climate, yielding more and higher quality fruits. They are as follows: Gaoshidai 3 plants, Wulanshalin 8 plants, 97 Qiuyisike 3 plants, and 96 Qiuyisike 9 plants. The fresh weight per 100 grain ranged from 38g to 46.6g except Gaoshidai; the average yield per individual plant ranged from 9.3kg to 11.3kg, namely 1034-1260kg per Mu. The best of them is 96 Qiuyisike, whose fresh weight per 100 grain is 25.2kg, namely 2810kg per Mu, that is 363.9 times more than the wild sea-buckthorn in Ningxia; comparing with Chinese sea-buckthorn, it yields greater, fruits are larger. In summery, the cultivars we chose show the characteristic of higher yield and better quality. |
