The experiment was conducted to study nutrition component, heavy metal content and deodorization of wormcast in the laboratory and the applying of wormcast that used as substrate or feed additions in broiler house. The research can not only provide more detailed and dependable reference data which was in order to use this kind of new unusual feed more better in the broiler feeding, but also the further basis theories to develop this kind of resources of animal feed. The research was consisted of four phases. On the first phase, the normal composition and heavy metal content of wormcast was measured. Results showed that the content of dry matter, crude ash, crude protein, crude fiber, crude fat, nitrogen-free extract, calcium, and phosphorus in the biological feed was 86.30%,58.22%,8.96 %,2.73%,0.10%, 16.29%,1.70% and 0.58%, respectively; and the content of Fe, Cu, Mn, Zn, Mg, Pb, Cd and As were respectively (ug/g) 3161.0,20.4 ,222.0 ,3.0, 8336.7 ,9. 75 ,0. 50 ,and 3. 56 . Therefore, it could be concluded that wormcast possessed some helpful component for animal breeding and the content of heavy metal was accorded with the feed criterion in our country. On the second phase, the deodorization effect of wormcast was researched in the laboratory. Four kinds of material were used in the experiment, such as fresh wormcast, wormcast placed 10 days, autoclave wormcast, and fresh broiler manure. All the content of NH3, H2S, the amination bacteria and the sulfuration bacteria were measured in the experiment. Results showed that the deodorization function was no significant difference between fresh wormcast and wormcast placed 10 days, and between autoclave wormcast and fresh wormcast wormcast (P>0. 05) . Therefor, there was small effect of microorganism in wormcast on the deodorization. On the third phase, the effect of wormcast that used as substrate on the deodorization was studied in the broiler henhouse. In this experiment, 1500 Chinese color-feathered broilers were randomly divided into two groups (experiment group and control group), and 750 broilers in each group. The sawdust was used as the substrate in control group. And the wormcast was used in the experiment group. All the broilers were raised in the same feeding mode and immunity program. The contents of NH3, H2S and CO2 in the henhouse were measured in this phase, and the contents of dry matter, organic material, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, total potassium and E.coli in the substrate and fresh broiler manure were also measured in this phase. The quantity of coccidiosis oocysts in the substrate was researched in the experiment. All the biochemistry index in the serum, slaughter weight, clean chamber weight, abdomen fat weight, chest muscle weight were measured after the broilers were slaughtered at 70 day. The slaughter ratio, clean chamber ratio, abdomen fat ratio and chest muscle was calculated from the above data. Results showed that the content of NH3, H2S, CO2 and RH in the experiment henhouse was less than in the control henhouse (P<0.01). The quantity of coccidiosis nits in the substrate also decreased significantly (P<0.05), and the quantity of E.coli in the flesh manure was 5.84×107, which also reduced significantly (P<0.01). So it could be concluded that the wormcast used as substrate could improve the environmental conditions in the broiler henhouse. On the other hand, when the wormcastwas used as substrate , it could be found that daily weight increasing 6.74%, feed consumption enhancing 1.72%, the ratio between feed and weight decreasing 4.58, and survive ratio improved 2.94%, from 1 to 70 day (P>0.05 ) . And the slaughter ratio, clean chamber ratio, abdomen fat ratio and chest muscle increased 2.68%, 1.84%, 2.36%, 6. 35% respectively in the experiment group (P>0.05). On the forth phase, the wormcast was used as the feed additive for broiler. In this phase, 5000 broilers were randomly divided into two groups (experiment group and control group), and 2500 broilers in each group. But the experiment was conducted in the same henhouse, and all the broilers were raised in the same immunity program. The control feed was used in the control group, and 3% wormcast was added into the control feed, which used in the experiment group. The feed consumption, quantity of dead broilers and diarrhea broilers were noted. Results showed that the diarrhea ratio and ammonia contant decreased respectively 74.2%, 31.4% in the wormcast group (PO.01) . At the same time, the weight of broiler enhanced 10. 3%, and the the moisture decreased 5. 5% in the experiment group (P>0.05) . The economic benefits were improved 289.4Y / 1000kg weight in the broiler feeding after the wormcast was used.
