In recent years, extending of cotton planting area hm2s risen a serious of problem, such as unbalancing in soil fertility, increasing number of the plant diseases and insect pests, productive cost raising and economic benefit rising slowly. Those problems can be solved by rotate between cotton and soybean, which is the only way to carry out sustainable development in cotton areas. In some extent, soybean planting or enlarging soybean -plant region in northern cotton-plant region in Xinjiang can relax the serious position which soybean productivity is facing. Two measures be need. The first is higher soybean yield; the second is mechm2nized planting completely conforming to high quality, high yield and high efficiency.By the high-yield and high-benefit cultivate technology, such as precision sowing, nutrient balance and fertilizer recommendation, reason irrigating and so on. In the past 2 years in 2003 and 2004, generally the yield of Shidadoul we achieved on the cotton stubble was 4600kg/hm2 and preliminarily we developed the system of modularly high-yield cultivate technology in the cotton-plant region in the north of Xinjiang. Our research results and practices show the rotation between cotton and soybean hm2s higher economic, ecological and social benefit, and hm2s important significance to promote the sustainable development for crop cultivate in the cotton-plant region in Xinjiang. The research can make soybean output more and keep ahead in big planting areas in China, which can make more achievements in optimize adjusting structure of crop planting and do modal of sustainable agriculture and hm2s important significance to promote poverty reducing and becoming rich in border area.
