Studied Of Biological Characteristic And Cultivating Technology For European Plum

Seven European plum varieties were introduced from Liao-Ning fruit research institute national apricot and plum germ plasm nursery, Tian-Jin academy of agriculture science fruit tree research institute and Hei-Bei academy of agriculture science fruit tree research institute from 2001 to 2002.They were Nu-shen, Wan-hei, You-sa, France, Stanle and so on. And grafting, preventing and curing plant diseases and insect pests were done on the plants.We also investigated their biology characteristics,including the branching rate,budding,qualities and so on. At the same time ,the varieties which are adapted to Zao-zhuang were filtrated and the fast- propagation and the matching planting technology were studied. And the results showed that,1. Nu-sheng, Wan-hei, You-sa were suit for denveloping in Zao-zhuang. After 3 years series research works, we founded European plum resource nusery. And as Stanle was CK, Nu-sheng, Wan-hei, You-sa were selected.2. The biological character, growth of tress, polarization of bloom and bud, economic character of fruit, phenological phase, and the suitable for Zao-zhuang area were studied. The technologyof grafting on big tree, fast breeding and high yield were also studied.3. More than 50 times pest and disease were definituded. Chemist control were tested on the chief pest. The planting technology regulations of harmless European plum was constituted. The anniversary calendar of plum planting was workouted. All these were ensurance for domain configuration sdjusting, altering old fruit garden, and emploding of plum.4. The extengding of European plum was boosted through exemplar, technology leading and cooperation. 17.02 hm2 gardens and 1360,000 plum trees were extended in Shan-ting, Yi-cheng and Shi-zhong. These made a lot of benefics for Zao-zhuang.
