Study On Genetic Law And Selection Of Reproduction Traits In Inner Mongolia Cashmere Goats

Data set of records of fitter size, fertility and prolificacy from 4387 Inner Mongolia Cashmere Goats ewes and data set of records of birth weight and ablactation weight from 9980 lambs were used to estimate genetic parameters of reproduction traits. At the same time, genetic modes of fitter size and selection methods in threshold traits have been researched. Further more, Artificial Neural Network(ANN) was firstly applied in selection of Inner Mongolia Cashmere Goats.We use many mathematic methods to estimate genetic parameters of reproduction traits,such as MINQUE,ANOVA,ML,REML and MCMC etc. Softwares, MTDFREML and SAS 9.0, were used to estimate breeding value in threshold traits (fitter size). Original selection method based on ANN was created to integrate experiences of farmers and scientists.
