The grassland locust pneumatic trapper is a new equipment for crop protection by physical way of control the Grassland Locust .On the inherited design basis, we improved design of the suction head device from setting blowing holes on the suction head up and down to setting a plate up and a blowing hole down for improve pneumatic trapping rate. Through test, we find there is a obvious expansion in pneumatic range and the pneumatic distance increase 8mm~10mm than before. The Pneumatic rate will increase, if the obliquity is 60°between the blowing hole's plate and the horizontal. We measured some physical action factors of grassland locust those increasing the pneumatic trapping rate, including skipping velocity and skipping distance and gained the trapper's forward speed from 7km/h to 18km/h through theory ,according to the fact gain the trapper's forward speed from 5km/h to 10km/h the height of the suction head above ground surface between 180mm~280mm, we make a uniform design experiment on plain where suffered the disaster of the locust, in order to get the relation among the trapper's forward speed, the height of the suction head above ground surface, the air airflow speed at the exhaut opening and intake opening and the inclination of the suction head on the trapping rate. Finally, we get some important value. Based on the partial-least regression analysis of the testing value, a mathematical model with regard to the relationship between trapping rate and each experimental factors has been established and know the importance of those influencing factors, the most important factor is the air airflow speed at the intake opening. Than optimum experimental factors combination has been founded, the trapper's forward speed is 8.3km/h, the height of the suction head above ground surface is 180mm, the air airflow speed at the exhaut opening is 25m/s, the air airflow speed at the intake opening is 23m/s and the inclination of the suction head is 76.7°.
