Aimed at the nutrients in the process of cultivating plug seedlings, the experiments were carried out to study the effects of medium (turf:vermiculite=2:1) with different amounts of N, P, K nutrients on the quality of tomato and sweet pepper seedlings. Based on the proper amounts of N, P, K in the medium, the effects of N, P, K on the quality of seedlings were studied by the optimum compound design (311-A). The optimum formula of N, P, K nutrients was put forward by computer and the optimal project of N, P, K nutrients in the nursery medium was obtained. The results were as follows:1. Selection of N, P, K nutrients in nursery medium1.1 The seedlings in the medium with ration of high N and middle P (tomato N:P2O5=500:1000; sweet pepper N:P2O5=600:900; unit:g·m-3)had biggest stem diameter, root dry weight. Its root acitivity was significantly higher than other treatments and it also had proper growth function.1.2 The seedlings in the medium (tomato: N500g·m-3, P2O51000g·m-3, K2O 1000g·m-3; sweet pepper: N600g·m-3, P2O5900g·m-3, K2O900 g·m-3and1200g·m-3) had biggest stem diameter. Its root dry weight and dry matter accumulation were higher than other treatments, also with sound seedling index and proper growth function.2. Studies on the standard of N, P, K nutrients in nursery medium2.1 Combined N, P, K nutrients had significant effects on the growth and quality of tomato and sweet pepper seedlings. The seedlings had high quality, proper contents of N, P, K, and little remainder of N, P, K nutrients after nursering seedlings in the medium with rational combined N, P, K nutrients.2.2 For tomato seedlings: the effects on the stem diameter of N, P, K was in the order as N>P>K, and to the root dry was K>P>N, and to the sound seedling index, the root activity and NRA were K>N>P, and to the content of chlorophyll was N>K>P.For sweet pepper seedlings: the main effects on the stem diameter of N, P, K was in the order as N>P>K, and to the root dry was K>P>N, and to the...
