A study was conducted to compare the impact of five soil ameliorants (phosphogypsum, fly ash, chicken manure, sludge and distiller's grain ) on the chemical properties of saline-sodic soil in Daqing of the Songnen Plain. The experiment was arranged in a Randomized Complete Block Design to select the best soil ameliorants and rate of applied amounts suitable to different severity salinized soils. It is concluded that:1. The best ameliorant is distiller's grain (at a rate of 9kg/m~2);the soil pH decreased by 1.20, organic matter increased by 7.20 g/kg, hydrolyte-nitrogen increased by 54.13 mg/kg, effectual- phosphorus increased by 22.10 mg/kg, hydrolyte-salt reduced by 1.20 g/kg, exchangeable sodium percentage (ESP) reduced by 4.85% in severe saline soil.2. The best matter is distiller's grain (at a rate of 6kg/m2). The soil pH decreased by 0.77, organic matter increased by 20.26 g/kg, hydrolyte-nitrogen was increased 47.06 mg/kg, efferectual- phosphorus was increased 1.76 mg/kg, hydrolyte-salt was reduced 0.97g/kg, exchangeable sodium percentage (ESP) was reduced 4.00 percent in severe saline of lees in between saline soil.3. The best matter are phosphogypsum (at a rate of 0.75kg/m~2) and chicken manure (at a rate of 2kg/m~2). The soil pH reduced by 0.53, hydrolyte-salt reduced by 1.2g/kg, exchangeable sodium percentage (ESP) reduced by 11.03 percent by phosphogypsum and organic increased by 5.28 g/kg, hydrolyte-nitrogen increased by 92.95 mg/kg, effectual- phosphorus increased by 30.12 mg/kg by chicken manure in gentle saline soil.4. The distiller's grain is best for improving soil pH, organic hydrolyte- nitrogen and alkalinity of soil., the soil organic and hydrolyte- nitrogen were increased 5.57g/kg and 22.23 mg/kg, and the pH, exchangeable sodium percentage (ESP) were reduced 0.23, 8.78 percent. The hydrolyte-salt was reduced 0.29g/kg by phosphogypsum and the organic was increased 28.89mg/kg by chicken manure.5. The pH was reduced by the distiller's grain of 9kg/m~2;the organic and hydrolyte- nitrogen were increased by the distiller's grain of 6kg/m;the exchangeable sodium percentage (ESP) was reduced by the distiller's grain of 3kg/m;the effectual- phosphorus was increased by the chicken manure of 3kg/m;the hydrolyte-salt was reduced by phosphogypsum of 0.6kg/m~2 were patency.
