A study was conducted to compare the impact of four soil ameliorants on the chemical properties of saline-sodic soil in Daqing of the Songnen Plain. The experiment was arranged in a randomized complete block design to study effects of soil ameliorant on perennial grazing growth characteristics and soil chemical properties. The results were abtained as follows:1. Experiment to saline-alkaline soil with moderate salinityFour kinds of ameliorants could modify perennial chinensis phenophase in certain degree. Humic acid could significantly advance the green period. Bacterial manure could remarkably advance the tillering stage, jointing stage, booting stage and heading stage. After added zoelite and aluminum sulfate, the chinensis phenophase at each stage were slightly ahead of schedule. Humic acid had most significant effects on grass height, leaf area and biomass. Bacterial manure was restricted by temperature, and only promotes chinensis growth between May and July. Zoelite and aluminum sulfate didn't show growth-promoting, but also showed no inhibition phenomenon.Four kinds of ameliorants also could improve the soil available nutrient. The contribution action to soil organic matter was humic acid>bacterial manure>aluminum sulfate> zoelite, to available N was humic acid>bacterial manure>zoelite>aluminum sulfate, to available K, which did not markedly. A variety of soil ameliorants could reduce pH value with the quantum increasing, pH value showed downward trend, especially aluminum sulfate. With dosage increasing, all ameliorants could reduce soil soluble salt contents, but all deal with reduced small, The effects of humic acid on pH was most obvious among four kinds of ameliorants.2. Experiment to saline-alkaline soil with slight salinityHumic acid had a great affect on alfalfa phenophase. With application rate increasing, the action had significantly increasing trend. To bacterial manure, mainly in branching period, booting stage and flowering stage. Four kinds of ameliorants not only could improve perennial alfalfa growth in certain degree, but also the growth had speeded up the trend, along with the dosage increasing, particularly bacterial manure.Bacterial manure also could remarkably increase soil organic matter, available N and available P. PH value could be declined after added bacterial manure, because the improvement of soil nutrients was propitious to increase microbial activity. Four kinds of ameliorants could reduce soluble salt content, particularly zeolite. Compared to saline-alkaline soil, the effect of zeolite and aluminum sulfate had declined in certain degree, while humic acid and bacterial manure didn't changes. Humic acid decreased soil alkalization mostly.
