| Lodging is a common problem in rice production. Varieties of high yield and good quality popularized and applied in recent years are mostly high stalks. At the same time, fertilizer using and plant density was strengthened for high production,which has increased the possibility that rice lodges. Lodging of rice would not only reduce its yield and quality, but also its production cost and economic benefits. This research was undertaken to evaluate the effect of plant growth regulators for both lodging resistance and high yield of rice. The application of these plant growth regulators in rice production will improve the lodging resistance and production of rice. It can also provide safeguard for some high stalk rice varieties with high yield and good quality and enhance the popularization and application of these varieties.This experiment was conducted by selecting one plant growth regulator that lowers the height of rice markedly from Ethrel, pix and ABA. The best plant growth regulator was mixed with calcium gluconate and the nutrients. To determine the best use density and the best use time of the mixture, the mixture was sprayed to leaf surface at five different concentrations (200mg/L, 400mg/L, 500mg/L, 600mg/L, 800mg/L) and at three different growing stages (remaining leaf primordium number: one zero and early earning stage). The effect was studied on the height, the leaf blade, the culm, the root system vigor, the anti-booklet strength, the output character of rice and so on. The results showed that the lower extend of the height of rice is positive correlated with the addition of the concentration of the product. The five different concentrations all effect on the height, the culm, the anti-booklet strength, the root system vigor, the leaf blade, the panicle, the thousand grain weight and the output character of rice. The lower extend of the height of rice is 3.01-12.44cm. The addition of stem diameter of the firstnode under spike and secondnode under spike and thirdnode under spike is 0.040-0.350mm, 0.050-0.540mm, 0.098-0.382mm. The addition of culm wall of the firstnode under spike and secondnode under spike and thirdnode under spike is l~110mm. Pushing resistance increases -9-256.67g. Root activity increases 4.1-15.3mg/stem · h. The area of function leaf increases 5.20-9.86cm~2. |
