Studies On Potassium Nutrition Of High Quality Flue-cured Tobacco Production In Fujian

Simulation experiment with repacked soil columns, indoor soil-culture, pot experiment, field experiment, sense appraisal of high grade leaf, field investigation were conducted to study the rule of the leaching lose and the transference of K fertilizer in different soil, suggested the index whether be rich or lack of K content in soil and tobacco leaf in Fujian tobacco planting area, and appraised the ability of soil to supply K in Fujian tobacco planting area.The results of an indoor simulating experiment with repacked soil columns showed that potassium was easily leached from soil, which resulted in the potassium deficiency of tobacco. The leaching ratio of exchangeable potassium in different soil showed, the blue standard lime marl field (58.01%) >the moist sandy field>(35.09%)> the yellow mud field (26.44%).The leaching ratio of the potassium fertilizer in the yellow mud field, the moist sand field, the clay lime marl field respectively is 54.9%, 56.7%, 67.6%. The employment of the calcium, the magnesium fertilizer could promote the leaching ratio of exchangeable potassium. Employing the MgSO₄ could wash more potassium fertilizer than employing Ca (OH)₂.The result of the indoor soil-culture indicated that, after 30-40 days , the increase of the fast available potassium in lime mud field, the moist sandy land, the blue standard lime marl field , the yellow mud field, is stable. After 60 days, the increase order of the fast available potassium is: blue standard lime mud field (160.2mg/kg)>moist sandy land (156.4mg/kg)>lime mud field (138.4mg/kg)> the yellow mud field (107.1mg/kg).The flue-cured tobacco is one kind of "Hi potassium crops", the different level soil fast available potassium was significant to the growth of the flue-cured tobacco. The result of the pot experiment indicated that, if the level of soil fast-available potassium was low, then tobacco grew badly , blade area was small, content of chlorophyll was low, content of POD was high, the flue-cured tobacco leaf blade was easily senile; if level of soil fast-available potassium was high, blade area was big, chlorophyll contained high, carbon and nitrogen metabolism was exuberant, mature period of flue-cured tobacco was slightly late, it was also advantageous to matter accumulation of the flue-cured tobacco leaf, biomass was high.
