Field investigation, simulation experiment with repacked soil columns, indoor soil-culture, pot experiment and field experiment were conducted to investigate the Smoking assessment of the first and medium-class tobacco leaves, study the rule of the leaching lose of N fertilizer, suggest the N diagnostic index in soil and tobacco leaf in Fujian tobacco planting area and study N fertilizer rational application.1 .Correlation research of Soil effective N and flue-cured tobacco N uptake indicated: the content of nitrate-N and soil available nitrogen +H (add reducer, say with +H, same below) had better relationship with tobacco N uptake, the correlation coefficients were up to 0.939 and 0.985 separately , being extremely remarkably positive in correlation. There was no significant correlation in the content of ammonium-N and tobacco N uptake (the correlation coefficient was 0.466 ). The correlation coefficient of soil available nitrogen -H ( not add reducer, say with -H, same below) and tobacco N uptake was 0.716, being remarkably positive in correlation. The soil pattern of Fujian tobacco planting area was paddy soil ,and flue-cured tobacco was planted in upland soil , ammonium-N was easy to turn into nitrate-N, so the best way to estimate soil available N was soil available nitrogen +H.2.Soil culture experiment results showed: Soil organic content being 16.38~22.82g/kg, Culturing for 10, days, soil available nitrogen -H and soil available nitrogen +H were both up to peak value , increased 7.03%~13.59%, 5.17%~10.66% separately. Soil organic content being 33.94g/kg, Culturing for 60 days, soil available nitrogen -H was up to peak value, increased 44.17%. Culturing for 50 days, soil available nitrogen +H reached peak value, increased 31.60%. So Soil organic content being 33.94g/kg had some effect on N supply in the late stage of flue-cured tobacco growth , so we should take into account the high organic content soil as we evaluate...
