The experiment was conducted to analyse the main composition of the 80 parental lines and classify them by the way of diverse covariance on the basis of numerical genetics. 7 different parental lines were combined by the way of Griffing 1 to study the relationships among distance, heterosis and specific combining ablility. The results of the study indicated that:1.Advanced 8 comprehensive indices appraising the parental lines by the way of main composition analysis.2.The average distance of the materials was 5.458 .The scope of was 0.8790~12.087. 3.The 80 parental lines were classified into 12 classes.The result of the clustering showed that the variance of the 80 waxy corn strain resources were very abundant, but the genetic basis of a few classes was narrow, so we should improve their clustering, making and studying.4.The relationship between genetic distance and yield heterosis could be described as H=a+bD+cD~2 .The yield heterosis of F1 hybrids could be predicted from the genetic distances of their parental lines according to this model.5. The relationship between genetic distance and yield S.C.A could be described as H=a+bD+cD~2 .The yield S.C.A of Fl hybrids could be predicted from the genetic distances of their parental lines according to this model.
