In this paper, the cutting propagation techniques have been systematic studied in order to accelerating the propagation and popularization of black locust (Robinia pseudoacacia L. ). The results were as follows:1. Four varieties of black locust have been studied in the test. It was no significant difference in survival rate when using root, hardwood and softwood for cuttage. But it was significant difference in growth of different varieties. The diameter and height of L1 and S1 were more than those of black locust, but those of W1 and S2 were opposite.2. As the cutting pattern, the survival rate of root cuttage was the highest, but it was not uniform in sprouting and the difference of growth quantity after transplantation was not significant. But Hardwood cuttage and softwood cuttage were the other ways round.3. The diameter and the length of cuttings had important influence on the survival rate. The results indicated the cutting that the diameter was from one to two centimeters and the length was fifteen centimeters was the easiest survival. The rootage effect was better to use softwood cuttage with 2 leaves.4. It could significantly improve survival rate of hardwood cuttage and softwood cuttage by using IBA, NAA and ABT, but it was not significant effect in root cuttage. Hormone of high concentration was more suitable for hardwood cuttings than others, and the effect of rootage by using combinations of various hormones was better than by using only hormone treatment. When softwood cutting, hormone concentration of 150~200mg/L was the best treatment, and it could improved the survival rate by twenty percent.5. When hardwood cutting, it could improve the survival rate to eighty-five percentage by using cuttage stored in sand, frame culture and vermiculite. When softwood cuttage, it could improve the survival rate to seventy-five percent by using auto-spray system, ventilated substrate and choosing appropriate season.6. The change of Indoleacetic acid oxidase, Polyphenol oxidase and...
