Part1Study on Anti-inflammatory Effect of Die Da Xiao Zhong Zhi Tong LingObjective:To study the anti-inflammatory effects and its mechanisms of Die Da Xiao Zhong Zhi Tong Ling (DXL). Methods:Dimethylbenzene-induced auricle edema in mice, acetic acid-induced the increase of permeability in capillary in mice, carrageenan-induced hind paw edema in mice, traumato-induced hind paw edema in mice, carrageenan-induced hind paw edema in rats, cotton ball-induced granuloma in mice and rats, carrageenan-induced pleurisy in rats, the acute lung injury (ALI) in rats, dimethylbenzene-induced auricle edema in bilaterally adrenalectomized mice, the contents of Vit C and cholesterol in normal adrenal glands and serum cortisol were measured to investigate the anti-inflammatory effects and mechanisms of DXL. Results:The DXL can remarkably inhibit edema of auricle of ear (P<0.05or P<0.01) in mice; inhibit permeability in capillary (P<0.05or P<0.01) in mice; inhibit carrageenan-induced hind paw edema (P<0.01) in mice, decrease the contents of MDA and increase the activity of SOD (P<0.05or P<0.01) in phlogogenic paws; degrade traumato-induced hind paw edema (P<0.01) in mice; inhibit carrageenan-induced hind paw edema (P<0.05or P<0.01) in rats, inhibit the contents of TNF-α IL-1β. IL-6in serum (P<0.05or P<0.01) and the PGE2(P<0.01) in phlogogenic paws; inhibit the weight of granuloma (P<0.05or P<0.01); inhibit the diffusate volume (P<0.05or P<0.01), the WBC amount, the contents of PGE2(P<0.01), the contents of total protein and MDA (P<0.05or P<0.01), increase the activity of SOD (P<0.05or P<0.01) in the diffusate of the rat model of carrageenan-induced pleurisy; decrease the wet/dry weight ratio(P<0.Ol), the activity of MPO(P<0.01) and the contents of TNF-α IL-1β IL-6(P<0.05or P<0.01) in lungs; inhibit edema of auricle of ear (P<0.05or P<0.01) in adrenalectomized mice; increase the contents of serum cortisol (P<0.05), decrease the contents of Vit C and cholesterol (P<0.05or P<0.01) in normal adrenal glands. Conclusions:The DXL has significantly anti-inflammatory effects.Part2Study on Analgesic Effect of Die Da Xiao Zhong Objective:To study the analgesic effects of Die Da Xiao Zhong Zhi Tong Ling (DXL).Methods:Mouse twisting munbers induced by acetic acid, mouse pain threshold after heat stimulation on hot-plate tests and in hot-water tests were respectively observed to investigate the analgesic effects.Then determine the contents of MDA and SOD in serum and brain tissue in mice of hot-plate tests.Results:The DXL can remarkably inhibit decrease the mouse twisting munbers(P<0.05), prolong pain thresholds(P<0.05or P<0.01), decrease the contents of MDA and increase the activities of SOD(P<0.05or P<0.01).Conclusions:DXL has analgesic effects. Objective:To study the immune functions of Die Da Xiao Zhong Zhi Tong Ling (DXL). Methods:The residual content of Congo Red and carbon motes in mice blood were measured by the ultraviolet spectrophotometer to investigate the effect on nonspecific immune function. Results:DXL could strengthen the function of engulfing Congo Red and enhanced the index of phagocytosis of carbon mote in mice(p<0.05or p<0.01). Conclusions:DXL has the funtion of immunoregulation.
