| Objective：To summarize professor Wu Yaonan’s unique experience and academic characterist-ics of TCM treatment of chronic gastritis.Methods:By the methods of interviwing,collecting and summarizing clinical cases.and revie-wing literature,the paper summarizes and sort out Professor Wu’s understanding of chronic gastritis,academic thought,TCM syndrome types differentiation,common prescriptions and drugs。Results:①Pathogenesis:Professor Wu thinks that mostly the incipient type of chronic gastritis is chronic superficial gastritis,which mainly belongs to the three syndrome types below:liver-stomach disharmony,weakness of the spleen and stomach,or damp heat in the spleen and the stomach.Uunclean or cold food, long-term irregular life,emotional disorders,and Hp infection are common cause of chronic superficial gastritis. With development of the disease,the Spleen yang is gradually consumed.which will cause deficiency cold of spleen and stomach.Finally it may result in qi stagnation and blood stasis,lack of stomach yin or spleen vacuity with damp-heat in the course of time.②Pathology and TCM Syndromes:Professor Wu believes there exists substantive contact between TCM syndrome type of chronic gastritis and gastric muco-sa pathological variation.So he generally changes Chinese medicine treatment according to the pathological diagnosis of gastric mucosa.Professor Wu insist us student should pay attent-ion to combining therapy of Chinese and Western medicine,taking the gastric mucosal histo-pathological examination and endoscopy as a method of inspection,which are of great signifi-cance and inportance for the treatment of diseases.③TCM treatment characteristic:1.Paying great attention to the tongue and pulse diagnosis:Professor Wu considers that diagnosing a disease includes inspection,auscultation and olfaction,inquiry and pulse diagnosis.And the tongue and pulse diagnosis is the most important due to its objectivity.Tongue examination can reflect whether disease progresses or fades away,indicates the nature of evil such as wet, fire, or poison,etc,so that it can guide the proper therapeutic method.Professor Wu also emphasizes the observation of "sublingual-threads",he thinks "sublingual-threads" is the window to obser-ve human microcirculation.It accurately reflects the condition of the body’s blood running and the degree of "blood stasis".2.Emphasizing treatment in accordance with three categories of etiologic factors:Professor Wu thinks that treatment should base on individual physical,age, gender,and different seasons and different geographical environment in order to take effect. ④Treatment thoughts:Professor Wu considers treatment of other zang-fu viscera to cure intrac-table gastric diseases especially when gastric drugs are ineffective.Therefore Professor Wu proposes five academic insights including treating lung to cure the stomach, treating intestine to cure the stomach,treating liver to cure the stomach, treating kidney to cure the stomach,and treating waist to cure the stomach.⑤Syndrome differentiation:Professor Wu divides chronic gastritis into eight syndromes based on clinical experience including liver-stomach disharony syndrome,liver and stomach gloomy heat type,spleen-stomach damp-heat syndrome, deficien-cy of spleen and stomach qi,syndrome of deficient cold of spleen and stomach,syndrome of deficiency of stomach yin,syndrome of stagnated blood of stomach meridian,Pi-deficiency Syndrome with damp-heat retention and blood stasis.And he makes specific exposition respectively.Conclusion:Professor Wu Yaonan,who has a great deal of experience for understanding and treatment of chronic gastritis,develops his own unique characteristics and theoretical system, and has gained significant curative effect in clinical practice.His academic thought and experi-ence have a fairly good practical value and clinical guidance,which can provides new ideas and methods for Chinese traditional treatment of chronic gastritis on clinic. |
