A Randomized Controlled Study On The Effect Of Yiqi Yangyin On Stroke - Related Pneumonia And Post - Stroke Immunosuppression

Background-Stroke associated pneumonia is a common complication of acute stroke patients, which led to the poor prognosis by the decrease of the life quality. More and more evidence suggests that immunosuppression after stroke is the main course of acute stroke patients suffering from lung infection.Objectives-In this study, patients with immunosuppression after stroke as a starting point, the role of prevention of stroke in patients with stroke associated pneumonia observed Yiqiyangyin prescription, and the impact on patients after cerebral stroke immunosuppression and overall prognosis.Methods-We choose Shengmaiyin (Shengmai II oral liquid) as represent of the Yiqiyangyin prescription, and observe stroke associated pneumonia by the incidence, duration, severity, and the quality of life in patients through a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trail. Also we use humoral immunity as indicators to assess the state of immune suppression and intervention effect.Result-The study included 40 cases, which 5 cases falling off, no excluded cases. In the experimental group, the duration of hospital stay and stroke associated pneumonia are superior to the control group. The experimental group and the control group have no significant difference in the incidence of stroke-related pneumonia, onset time, severity, and prognosis. The two groups in terms of changes in immune parameters is no significant difference.
