Disease is a kind of complex biological phenomenon, many factors can affect the occurrence of disease. Our ancestors in the long-term production, life and medical practice, found that the climate change has certain rules, and this change will have a significant impact on the human body physiology, pathology. In "Huang Di Nei Jing" our ancestors systematically expounded this knowledge and built Yunqi theory, which is the main content of Gasification theory.1 ObjectiveBased on the Yunqi theory, analyze the correlation between the incidence of 10 clinical common diseases and gan zhi yun qi and solar terms, as well as, combined with simultaneous Beijing Meteorological Data, analyze the correlation between meteorological factors and diseases, and provide a reference for people to prevent diseases.2Materials and MethodsDisease data:Internal medical record data range from February 4,1999 to February 4,2011,was provided by Dongzhimen Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. This study selected 10 kinds of common diseases which data is complete as research subjects, such as Pneumonia, Bronchitis, Bronchial asthma, Hypertension, Coronary heart disease, Cerebral infarction, Cerebral hemorrhage, Gastritis, Peptic ulcer, Nephritis.Meteorological data range from February 4,1999 to February 4,2011,was provided by Beijing Observatory, including the daily average data of temperature, wind speed, rainfall, relative humidity, vapor pressure, low cloud cover.Establishment of database:Establish a database of above 10 kinds of diseases, including name, sex, age, time of admission, admission diagnosis, discharge diagnosis. Establish an other database of average value of six meteorological factors in 24 Solar Terms.Research of correlation between the incidence of diseases and Yun qi and solar terms:According to time of admission, classify the disease data into different period, including heavenly stems, five evolutive phases, host climatic qi, guest climatic qi, celestial manager qi,qi in the earth, and 24 solar terms. Count the number of cases in each period of 10 diseases, and calculate the hospitalized ratio of 10 diseases during different Yunqi period, and then analyze the difference.Research of correlation between incidence of diseases and meteorological factors: research correlation between incidence of 10 diseases and meteorological factors in current Solar term and one Solar term ago. The above data were statistically analyzed by SPSS17.0 software. Correlation between disease onset and Yunqi, Solar term, each group of diseases data were done normality test, analysis of variance or more independent samples of non-parametric test (Kruskal-Wallis H) was used to compare the difference within the group. Use the method of Spearman to research of correlation between meteorological factors and diseases.3Results(1)Correlation between the incidence of diseases and gan zhiyun qiThe respiratory system disease:The hospitalized ratio of Pneumonia, in the period of heavenly stems, in the Xin year-deficiency of water-yun is highest; in the period of five evolutive phases, the year of water-yun is highest; in the period of celestial manager qi, in the Yangmingzaojin period is highest; in the period of qi in the earth, in the Taiyinshitu period is highest, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The hospitalized ratio of Bronchitis, in the period of heavenly stems, in the Bingyear-excess of water-yun is highest; in the period of five evolutive phases, the year of water-yun is highest; in the period of celestial manager qi, in the Taiyanghanshui period is highest, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The hospitalized ratio of Bronchial asthma, in the period of celestial manager qi, in the Yangmingzaojin period is highest, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The circulatory system disease:The hospitalized ratio of Hypertension, in the period of heavenly stems, in the Xin year-deficiency of water-yun is highest; in the period of five evolutive phases, the year of water-yun is highest; in the period of celestial manager qi, in the Yangmingzaojin period is highest; in the period of qi in the earth, in the Taiyinshitu period is highest, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The hospitalized ratio of Coronary heart disease, in the period of celestial manager qi, in the Yangmingzaojin period is highest, in the period of qi in the earth, in the Shaoyinjunhuo period is highest, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The nervous system disease:The hospitalized ratio of Cerebral infarction, in the period of heavenly stems, in the Xin year-deficiency of water-yun is highest; in the period of five evolutive phases, the year of water-yun is highest; in the period of celestial manager qi, in the Yangmingzaojin period is highest, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The hospitalized ratio of Cerebral hemorrhage, the difference of each period was not statistically significant (P>0.05).The digestive system disease:The hospitalized ratio of Gastritis, the difference of each period was not statistically significant (P>0.05). The hospitalized ratio of Peptic ulcer, in the period of heavenly stems, in the Yi year-deficiency of gold-yun is highest; in the period of five evolutive phases, the year of gold-yun is highest; in the period of qi in the earth, in the Shaoyinjunhuo period is highest, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The urinary system disease:The hospitalized ratio of Nephritis, in the period of heavenly stems, in the Xin year-deficiency of water-yun is highest; in the period of qi in the earth, in the Shaoyinjunhuo period is highest, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).(2)Correlation between the incidence of diseases and solar termsThe respiratory system disease:The hospitalized ratio of Pneumonia in the period of Dahan is the highest, The hospitalized ratio of Bronchitis in the period of Dongzhi is the highest(P<0.05),and the hospitalized ratio of the two diseases increased after Lidong, characterized by high in winter and low in summer and autumn; The hospitalized ratio of Bronchial asthma in the period of Hanlou is the highest,characterized by a little high in autumn.The circulatory system disease:The hospitalized ratio of Hypertension in the period of Qingming and Qiufen are the highest, characterized by high in spring and autumn and winter, low in summer and winter; The hospitalized ratio of Cerebral hemorrhage in the period of Qiufen is the highest,characterized by high in autumn and winter, low in spring and summer.The nervous system disease:The hospitalized ratio of Cerebral infarction in the period of Xiazhi is the highest, characterized by high in summer and autumn, low in winter and spring; The hospitalized ratio of Coronary heart disease in the period of Qiufen is the highest,characterized by high in spring and autumn, low in summer and winter.The digestive system disease:The hospitalized ratio of Gastritis in the period of Mangzhong is the highest (P<0.05), characterized by high in spring; The hospitalized ratio of Peptic ulcer in the period of Lixia is the highest,characterized by high in summer and autumn, low in winter and spring.The urinary system disease:The hospitalized ratio of Nephritis in the period of Chushu is the highest, characterized by high in autumn. And, this study also found that "Chunfen""Qiufen""Xiazhi"Dongzhi"those four solar terms are the periods in which diseases easily occurred. Pneumonia, Bronchitis, Bronchial asthma, Coronary heart disease, Cerebral infarction, and Peptic ulcer, those seven diseases occurred easily in one of the above four solar terms.(3)Correlation between incidence of diseases and meteorological factorsThe incidence of Pneumonia and Bronchitis, are negatively correlated with the average precipitation, the average temperature, and the average vapor pressure in the same solar terms and one solar term ago, the incidence of Pneumonia are also negatively correlated with the average Low cloud amount, the incidence of Bronchitis are also negatively correlated with the average relative humidity.The incidence of Hypertension are positively correlated with the average wing speed in the same solar term; the incidence of Coronary heart disease are negatively correlated with the average precipitation, the average temperature in the same solar term, and the average precipitation in one solar term ago.The incidence of Cerebral infarction are positively correlated with the average temperature, the average vapor pressure, the average relative humidity in the same solar term, and the average temperature, the average vapor pressure, the average relative humidity, the average Low cloud amount in one solar term ago.The incidence of Gastritis are positively correlated with the average precipitation, the average relative humidity, and the average Low cloud amount in one solar term ago; The incidence of Peptic ulcer are positively correlated with the average wind speed both in the same solar term and one solar term ago, and also negatively correlated with the average relative humidity in one solar term ago.The incidence of Nephritis are positively correlated with the average relative humidity in the same solar term, and also with the average vapor pressure and the average relative humidity in one solar term ago.4ConclusionThis study found that the incidence of common disease in Beijing area are correlative with Gan zhi yun qi, solar terms, and the variation of meteorological factors. The incidence of disease varies in different period.Some diseases are easily affected by meteorological factors, taking meteorological factors into account in preventing disease has a certain significance. As well as, the research in the future still need to expand the amount of data on the disease, and develop multi center study, take TCM syndrome type of the disease into the scope of the study, in order to obtain more accurate conclusions.
