Purpose:To observe the protective effects of salvianolate on optic nerve inglaucoma filtration surgery.Material and method:65cases with primary angle-closure glaucoma (65eyes)were selected from2012,9~2013,9, treated with trabeculectomy to lowerintraocular pressure, Postoperative group A were treated conventionallyaccording to clinical pathway of glaucoma treatment, and group B were treatedwith salvianolate200mg intravenous drip per day, for2weeks.The change ofthe intraocular pressure, visual field and retinal nerve fibre layer thicknessin two groups were observe Before Surgery,1w after Surgery,3m after Surgery,and the data of the two groups were statistically analyzed.Results:1. The IOPs of two groups1w and3m after operation were significantly lower thanthat before operation. The IOPs between the two groups had no significantdifference Before Surgery,1w after Surgery,3m after Surgery.2. In two groups the absolute value of MD at1w and3m after operation were lessthan that before operation. At1w and3m after operation the absolute value ofMD In group B were less than in group A. In group A, the value of PSD were nosignificant different among preoperative,1w after Surgery and3m after Surgery.In group B, the value of PSD at3m after Surgery were less than that at1w afterSurgery and before operation. At1w after Surgery, the value of PSD were nosignificant different between in group A and group B. At3m after Surgery, thevalue of PSD in group B were less than in group A.3. In group A the RNFL thickness at1w after Surgery were less than that beforeoperation, but without statistical significance. The RNFL thickness at3m aftersurgery were significantly less than that before operation and at1w after Surgery. In group B, the RNFL thickness at1w after surgery were less than thatbefore operation, but the paranasal and temporal without statisticalsignificance. The RNFL thickness at3m after Surgery were less than that beforeoperation. The superior and inferior RNFL thickness of group B were less thanthat of group A at1w after Surgery, and the temporal, superior and inferiorRNFL thickness in group B were higher than that in group A at3m after surgery.Conclusion:1. Salvianolate can improve the visual field, delayed the visual field damagein glaucoma patients.2. Salvianolate can reduce optic nerve fiber layer edema, delay retinal nervefiber layer thinning after glaucoma attack.3. Salvianolate can affords some protective effects on optic nerve in glaucomaafter surgery.
