A Retrospective Study Of 305 Cases Of Herpes Zoster Hospitalized Patients

Objective:With the retrospective analysis in305cases of herpes zoster in The Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of TCM, summarize the past experience in clinical practice, in order to further to form industry recognition of TCM clinical diagnosis and treatment plan and develop specification provides evidence-based basis.Methods:Collection of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated Hospital dermatological department in January2012to August2013cases,305cases of hospitalized patients with herpes zoster, the patients’age, sex, disease place, cause, pathogenesis, season, clinical syndrome, treatment and prognosis of hospitalization days, outcome and the patients clinical examination test result list of items such as statistics, and were retrospectively analyzed.Results:The study of305cases of hospitalized patients with herpes zoster, male115cases (37.70%), female,190cases (62.30%), the ratio of men to women in1:1.65. Onset ages25to89years old, the average age was (60.62±12.99), including60patients over the age of155cases (50.82%).291cases (95.41%) patients with no obvious disease cause, a few patients disease caused by fatigue, exogenous or modern poorly.8cases (2.62%) patients with secondary infection, those patients with underlying diseases, weakened immune system. Herpes zoster all can come on all the year round, spring (23.61%), summer seasons in the majority (36.39%). Patients with the average hospitalization days was (13.56±2.67)days. To combine traditional Chinese and western medicine treatment, the disease prognosis is good,249patients (81.64%), pain relief, improved and discharged,56cases (18.36%) patients recovered. Herpes zoster is usually caused by a weakened immune system, clinical examination with other diseases.Conclusion:1. Herpes zoster infection more women than men, and the increase in incidence with age.2. No obvious cause, the disease incidence more can come on the second of low immune function.3. Traditional Chinese medicine treatment on early to clearing liver fire, detoxify pain medication, later to be regulating qi and activating blood circulation, Tongluo analgesic drug, western medicine to antiviral drugs, the pain obviously can be given pain medication or small dose hormone short term pain relief.4. On the basis of conventional drugs with lamp, high-energy narrow spectrum red glow, ear beans, physical treatments, such as acupuncture can effectively alleviate the pain.5. The disease prognosis is good.
