| Objective To observe the clinical effect of Shugan Jiangtang Decoction in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus.Methods 120 cases of type 2 diabetic patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group with 60 cases in each group; 60 patients in control group were treated Glipizide Controlled Release Tablets (America Pfizer Inc production, the country medicine accurate approval number: J20100129).5mg each time, once a day, before breakfast take, metformin enteric coated tablets (Guizhou Tianan pharmaceutical Limited by Share Ltd production, the country medicine accurate approval number:H52020960).0.5 each time, three times a day, before meals.60 cases in treatment group and the control group with the same dose of taking Glipizide Controlled Release Tablets, metformin enteric coated tablets, also take Shugan Jiangtang soup, a daily agent, water decoction, early, late oral. Two groups of patients 3 month is 1 treatment course. To observe the change of blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, blood lipid indexes before and after treatment in 2 groups.Results in the treatment group, fasting blood glucose (FBG),2 hour postprandial blood glucose (PBG), glycosylated hemoglobin (HbAlC), triglyceride (TG), cholesterol (TC) levels were significantly lower than that before treatment, compared with control group with significant difference (P<0.05). Comparison of the total effect of the two groups, the treatment group the total efficiency of 93.3%; control group, the total efficiency of 75%. The effect of the two groups was analyzed the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Shugan decoction in the treatment of type 2 diabetes hypoglycemic has obvious therapeutic effect, is worthy of further study and development.
