In this study, base on soil testing and fertilizer recommendation technology, a series of field experiments (the fertilizer efficiency experiment with different application amount of nitrogen, the experiment of different ratio of base fertilizer and top dressing and the experiment of correction of fertilizer efficiency) were carried out to analysis the influence of different fertilizer rate and fertilizer methods on yield and economic benefit of rice. The main results as following.(1) Watching from overall situation, soil fertility of paddy field in Rucheng county had a high level, TOC of topsoil at the levels of superior middle or high, avalable nitrogen and avalable phosphate of topsoil at the levels from middle to high, but potassium of topsoil at low level. We should reduce the amount of nitrogen and phosphate, while increase the amount of potassium fertilizer in rice production in the future.(2) When phosphorus and potassium at certain levels, rice yield increased with increased of the amount of nitrogen and reached their highest value when the amount of nitrogen reached an certain value, then decreased with the increase of the amount of nitrogen. The result of experiment on nitrogen fertilizer efficiency in alluvial sandy soil of Rucheng county showed that the model of nitrogen fertilizer efficiency of early rice was y=340.02+18.55N-0.82N2,and y=340.02+18.55N-0.82N2 of middle rice.(3) The rice yield reached their highest value when the ratio of base fertilizer and top dressing of nitrogen and potassium was 6:4.(4) The application of soil testing and fertilizer recommendation technology of achieved a definite effect on early rice and middle rice in Rucheng county, except appeared yield reduction of early rice in some areas. The result of experiment of correction of fertilizer efficiency on middle rice showed that compared with traditional fertilization, the application of soil testing and fertilizer recommendation technology reduced fertilizer cost by15.7%, increased rice yield by 9.7%, and increased net income by 13.4%.
