Study Of Forecast And Control Techniques Of Tetranychus Viennensis Zacher In Jinan Area

Tetranychus viennensis Zacher, Arachnida, Acarina(Acari, Acariformes, Tetranychoidea Branch, Tetranychidae), is the major pest mite of apple trees in Jinan. The mite is widely distributed, generally occurred and can cause severe damage. In order to control the mite, forecast and control techniques were studied in this paper.1. The emergence period forecastThe overwintering female mites emerged in late March in Jinan. The emergence peak was occurred in mid-April. The emergence ended in late April. The emergence time was closely related to the daily average temperature.2. Agricultural control2.1 Planting green manure crops or dwarf herbs under the canopy was used to increase the diversity of biological communities of the orchard. This measure also can provide habitat and breeding sites for the predators, increase the kinds and numbers of natural enemy species, enhance the natural controlling ability to reduce mite density and reduce damage.2.2 Measures such as strapping grass at branches of trees in mid-August, spraying miticide or insecticide completely after harvesting the fruits, cleaning-up the orchard thoroughly after defoliation can all decrease the numbers of overwintering adult mites and reduce the damage in the coming year.3. Chemical controlTo control the mite damage before next year, the efficient, low toxic, non-polluting pesticides such as Jingyebao No.1 750 times, Jingyebao No.3 750 times, 0.5% nicotine EC 500 times, Bangmanke 2000 times, Luanmante 5000 times, Lvling 600 times,1% Miechongling EC 8000 times, Shuangewei EC 4000 times, Dalishi EC 4000 times can be used at the different occurrence period from late-March to early April.Spraying pesticides Jingyebao No.3 1500 times, Bangmanke 1000 times, Luanmante 5000 times, Miechongling EC 8000 times, Shuangewei EC 4000 times, Dalishi EC 4000 times can be used to control the eggs of the first generation from late May to the wheat harvest.If the mites infest seriously in the growing season or after harvesting fruits, pesticides Jingyebao No.1,No.2,No.3, nicotine EC 1500 times, or Bangmanke 1500-2000 times, Luanmante 5000 times, 1% Miechongling EC 8000 times, Shuangewei EC 4000 times, Dalishi EC 4000 times can be used to control the moving mites.
