Research On Techniques Of Tree Peony Grown In The Pots And Its Flowering Regulation In The South Yangtse River Of China

Tree peony in the south of the Yangtze River, one of the tree peony four cultivar groups in our country, has long cultivation history and extensive garden utilization along the Yangtze River. Through the research and introduction on the tree peony in the south of the Yangtze River, and survey of the tree peony sales situation in local flower market, we summarized several issues during the development of tree peony's industry. The article focus on test target of southern peony introduced to Zhejiang Forestry University, take a research on peony local Potting Tech including ingredient making up on substrate culture, selection on nutrient fluid, administration on peony potting and florescence control. Research Show as follows:1. Fengdanbai (one species of southern peony) planted in Substrate mixed by vermiculite, perlite, haydite, PEAT MOSS grew worse that planted in open field culture.If substrate mixed with 50% oil, southern peony grows better. Fertilizer fluid of N,P,K helps if used as substrate.2 Florescence contains three stages: spire differentiation stage, perianth differentiation stage, stamens-pistil differentiation stage following the sequence: bulbil primordium, leaf primordium, bract primordium, Sepal primordium, petal primordium, stamens primordium, pistil primordium from inside to outside. Characters during flowerbud differentiation stage determines types of peony flower.3 Environment is important element to influence peony flowering. Temperature is of the most important aspect. Hormone can also influence florescence.Trough manual government, florescence of Xishi(one species of southern peony) can come in advance in Spring Festival by temperature governing and usage of GA3 hormone.
