The research of secondary forest began in the 1950s in China, and people have already obtained a very great success about it. However, at present people studied on secondary forest mostly in northern country, less in southern country. The contents of research mostly focus on species diversity, flora, community characteristics, succession law about the secondary forest, but lack research reflecting systematically and comprehensively whole features of stands, and less on the dynamic forecast of the growth and harvest change of the secondary forest. Research methods are mostly from the point of view of ecology, and less from the forest metrology and forest management. In order to strengthen the research of secondary forest, it is necessary to enlarge region range of research, and further improve the methods and means of study, and enrich it. Oak secondary forest as a typical secondary forest community type in Mid-subtropics of China, the study on the structural characteristics and growth law to manage and make full use of this kind stands has important theoretical and practical significance. It is an important theoretical and practical significance that the study on the structural characteristics and growth law for people managing and making full use of this kind stands. The Nianzhu forest farm of Dagangshan Mountain reservation in Jiangxi province as the study object, according to the data of the Continuous Forest Inventory and standard sample plot, based on theory of forest and ecology, the stand structure and growth rhythm of the oak secondary forest in Dagangshan Mountain was studied using statistical software such as DPS, SPSS.Firstly, the relative abundance, the relatively remarkable degree, the relative frequency and the important value of arbors types as the research variable, we clustered the oak secondary forest types using Hierarchical Clustering Method, and analyzed status of arbor types in the communities. Then the species diversity of oak secondary forest communities in Dagangshan Mountains Nature Reserve was discussed in this paper. It is concluded that the distribution trends of species richness indices, species diversity indices and species evenness indices along the community gradient were almost the same. The more complex the community structures are, the more obvious the layers are, and the higher the richness, diversity, and evenness of the plant communities are.Secondly, the intraspecific and interspecific competition of dominant species of oak secondary forest in Dagangshan Mountains was discussed, and calculate the competition intensities between trees with the predicted model, and the objective trees, simulated the relation of the competition index and the competitive trees's diameter, and predicted the competition intensity of the objective trees and the competitive trees in this paper. At last the influence between the factors of forest mensuration and the competition index was analyzed using Gray incidence analysis. Finally, the diameter distribution of oak secondary forest, Cyclobalanopsis glauca and other tree types in Dagangshan Mountains was studied using the application of Weibull distribution function and got the distribution of every diameter grade. The diameter growth, tree height growth and volume growth of Cyclobalanopsis glauca was simulated using several models. Then we selected the highest precision model as the simulated equation of every forest measurement factors. The result showed that the model accords with the growth law of secondary forest using chi-square test.
