Wireless sensor network (WSN) is the same or different from the many features of wireless sensor nodes, each sensor node and the data acquisition module (sensor, A/D converter), data processing, control module, communication module and for Power modules and other components. This is mainly to collaboration and the perception and acquisition and processing in the network coverage area perceived objects, and those responsible for sending to the demand.Zigbee is a short distance and low power consumption of a wireless communication technology, which uses IEEE 802.15.4 protocol, the main feature is a short distance, simplistic, self-organizing, low power, low data rate and low cost. In the field of automatic control and remote control a wide range of applications, to embedded devices, which can be integrated into various types of electronic products, are widely used worldwide commercial, residential and industrial areas.ZigBee technology is relatively less suitable for data communication, not long-distance field wiring, data collection covering a wide area, often inconvenient to replace batteries or recharge the agricultural environmental monitoring and control system. In this paper, the existing wireless sensor network technology, especially based on the ZigBee technology, the ZigBee-based wireless sensor network of automatic monitoring and control systems and its application in agricultural research and development work. Currently, ZigBee node hardware, chip, software and computer software has been developed. This paper analyzes the ZigBee wireless sensor networks and related technology concepts, and based on the ZigBee wireless technology, automatic monitoring and control system based on the overall design, the design of the automatic monitoring network based on ZigBee wireless control system, carried out tests on agriculture, and gives examples of applications that obtained the technical performance indicators system to meet the basic requirements of wireless sensor network design that can facilitate greater access to agricultural information. These results extend the wireless sensor network applications is important to the agricultural sector.
