The forecast of fire behavior is the major theme of forest fire danger forecasting, and the key to prevent the forest fire. Especially the research of the rates of spreed is the important content of the fire science, need more fire experiments field and indoor, model imitate to announce the regularity of forest fire behavior. This paper used Korean pine needles collected from Korean pine plantations were constructed with varied fuel moisture, loading and depth. Totally 100 experimental fires with these fuelbeds were burned inside laboratory under no wind and zero-slope conditions.The results indicate that rates of spread of fuelbeds of Korean pine needles are slower than 0.4 m·min-1, flame height are slower than 69.3cm, residence time are slower than 0.82min, reaction efficiency are slower than 0.79, fireline intensity slower than 386.57Kw·m-1.Fuel moisture, fuelbed depth and packing ratio significantly influence fire spread. The effect of fuel moisture on fire spread is not affected by fuelbed depth and loading while those of fuelbed depth and packing ratio on rate of spread might be influenced by other fuelbed characteristics.Fuel loading is not significantly influence fire spread.Fuel moisture, fuelbed depth and packing ratio significantly influence flame height, The effect of fuel moisture on fire flame is not affected by fuelbed depth and loading while those of fuelbed depth and packing ratio on fire flame might be influenced by other fuelbed characteristics.The effect of fuel bed depth on fire flame is not affected by fuel moisture and loading, the flame height is influence by rates of spread.Fuel moistur significantly influence residence time, fule loading fuel bed depth and packing ratio on residence time might be influenced by other fuelbed characteristics, the residence time is influenced by rate of spread.Fuel moisture loading fuel bed depth and packing ratio significantly influence reaction efficiency. The effect of fuel moisture on reaction efficiency is not affected by fuel moisture and loading while those of fuel moisture and loading on reaction efficiency might be influenced by other fuelbed characteristics, the reaction efficiency is influenced by rate of spread,fire flame and residence time. Fuel loading and packing ratio is not influence fireline intensity.The effect of fuel moisture on fireline intensity is not affected by fuel bed depth and loading while those of fuel bed depth and packing ratio on fireline intensity might be influenced by other fuelbed characteristics, the fireline intensity is influenced by flame height.Used the fuel moisture,fuelbed depth and loading to build model, the effect of the rate of spread,fire flame,residence time and reaction efficiency addition model is better, the effect of fireline intensity multiplication model is better.
