Evaluation Of Internal Scale Of Urban Livability And Green Space Level

By using geography information software-MapInfo,four major components which influenced the livability among different areas in the city have been studied by the theory of urban land classification and grading.They are flourishing degree of business services,accessibility of traffic condition,degree of living facilities,degree of cultural and sports facilities.The four major components have also been graded assessed in this paper.The comprehensive assessment value and the livability of certain area can be corresponded with each other through relative mark,which was calculated based on the comprehensive assessment.The correspondence met the requirement to make quantitative research of internal scale of urban livability.In this paper,the single factor value and the comprehensive assessment value which affected the livability of Baoding city was analyzed.The analysis indicated:1. The business services were not enough in northeast and southwest city area.2. The traffic in urban area was convenient and almost the same comprehensive value can be got among different areas.3. The distribution of the living facilities was relatively concentrated and it should be strengthened especially in west,northwest and north part of the city.4. The cultural and sports facilities were relatively concentrated and it should be relocated to meet the basic requirement of people living in different areas.5. The distribution of comprehensive value looked like an ellipse,but the area of high scores in east part of the city is significantly small,Scores of east and northeast area are low.The comprehensive construction should be strengthened in east and northeast part of the city:The comprehensive evaluation method of the urban green space has also been studied from the overall size,landscape pattern level and space accessibility.The urban green space in Baoding city was generally evaluated.A reasonable proposal for Baoding urban green space was also put forward.The results showed that:1. The overall scale of urban green space in Baoding city is moderate,which can improve the urban environment perfectly,maintaining the ecological balance of the city,beautifying urban landscape and servicing city residents.2. It has abundant types,evenly distribution,rational layout and great landscape pattern.The public parks and residential areas fit perfectly.The spatial accessibility is high and the public parks can be conveniently used by citizens.3. The differences between the city areas limited the improvement of urban green space in Baoding city and further proposal was needed.4. We suggested that two or three above-average squares or gardens should be built in the north area of the city,and the attached green space and other small green space in the northeast area of the city should be increased,and the existing green space in the southeast area of the city should also be kept as well in order to make the urban green space in Baoding city reach a new level,and give full play to remarkable ecological function and make a more harmonious relationship between human and nature as well.
