Effects of growth performance and physiological performance of mixed cool season turfgrass(Kentucky bluegrass + Perennial ryegrass + Creeping red fescue)by available fertilizer (urea) and 8 different types of slow-release fertilizer (composite MU, organic slow release fertilizer, compound IBDU, lignin slow-release fertilizer, SUD1, SUD2, SUDT) were studied through field experiments in lanzhou. yellow rate, reviving rate, chlorophyll content, aboveground biomass, tiller density, growth rate, uniformity, lawn texture, soluble sugar content, soluble protein content, proline content, MDA content, catalase activity were discussed in fall and early spring. The results showed as follows:1,Compared with control, Grass turning yellow time was delayed to varying degrees and ahead of the grass turning green under different fertilization treatments. Effects of Yellow rate and Turning green rate was different under different fertilization treatments.2,Nitrogen application significantly enhanced the chlorophyll contents and improved lawn color under all treatments, lawn color was changed rapid whit available turfgrass fertilizer, slow-release fertilizer more conducive to sustained maintenance of turf grass green.3,Slow-release fertilizer SUD1 performed best in maintain regeneration and recovery capabilities to the lawn area; lignin slow-release fertilizer is better than other slow-release fertilizer in improving turf tiller; SUDT fertilizer can be beneficial to turfgrass growth rate and maintain a smooth uniform grass growth. Slow-release fertilizer imports better than homemade fertilizer in the slow-release fertilizer. Lawn grass width 1.80 ~ 1.91cm, however, the difference among treatments was not significant(P>0.05).4,In fall fertilization.With temperatures continue to lower, soluble sugar content, soluble protein content, pralines content, CAT activity, MDA content showed an upward trend in turfgrass organizations, the slow-release fertilizer and urea, CK difference compared significantly (P <0.05).5,In spring fertilization, with the temperature rising, soluble sugar content, soluble protein content, pralines content, CAT activity, MDA content showed an decrease trend in turfgrass organizations. But urea treatment were significant decrease in physiological indicators, slow-release fertilizer treatments decreased less.6,Lawn turf characteristics was comprehensive evaluation by Grey Relational Analysis under the different fertilization treatments, lawn turf pros and cons were: SUD1> SUD2> lignin slow-release nitrogen fertilizer> SUDT> composite IBDU> Organic slow-release nitrogen fertilizer >composite MU> urea.
