Control Experiment On Flower Types Of Apricot Planted In Greenhouse And In The Fields

Apricot belongs to Armeniaca genus of Rosaceae sub-family of Prunoideae family , It was planted natively in China 4000 years ago. People like apricot very much because it is rich in nutrition, tastes sweet and sour, as well as has bright color, however, the apricot production is limited by the early flowering of apricot tree and liable to be damaged by freezing during the flowering period. By modern management practices, the large scale planting in greenhouse can avoid frozen damage to realize stable and good harvest, to achieve good economic benefits. In recent years, with the development of technique of facility horticulture, greenhouse apricot has become a hot point in apricot production, so further research on greenhouse apricot has become an important task in apricot production.Based on systematic research and investigation on phonology and flower types of Golden Sun Apricot during flowering period in the greenhouse and in the fields, the characteristics of flowering period of the apricot, and the law of growth and development was unveiled. The main results are as follows:1. The beginning flowering period of the apricot in the greenhouse was 33 days earlier than that in the fields, the flowering period was 4 days longer. The complete flowers ratio of apricot trees planted in the greenhouse and field has remarkably different, complete flowers ratio in the greenhouse was lower than that in the fields.2. The complete flowering ratio on the shot branches and cluster branches in the greenhouse was higher than that on medium and long branches of the apricot tree;the complete flowering ratio of medium and long branches in the fields was higher than that on shot branches and cluster branches of the apricot. The apricot mainly bore on the short and cluster branches in the greenhouse, however it mainly bore on the medium and long branches in the fields.3. Before the blossom drop of the Golden Sun apricot, most of the flowers dropping were incomplete flowers, but it is most of the complete flowers after the climax of the flowers dropand the most of the complete flowers' pistils withered;theirs ovaries didn't develop or developed not well.4. The flowers of ï¿¡ > ï¿¡ in the greenhouse was obviously higher than that in the fields, auxiliary pollination was an important measure to increase the rate of apricot bearing.5. The distribution of flower types was different between in the greenhouse and in the fields, the complete flowers ratio of the greenhouse apricot was 33% lower that in the fields, the difference of the above was remarkable, and this is consistent with the fact that the apricot tree in the greenhouse bears less than the apricot trees in the fields.
