| Ultradrying storages of sunflower, collard and pansy seeds were studied. The results showed that these grassseeds could retain higher vigor and adapted to ultradrying storage, then we discussed the ultradry-tolerance mechanism of sunflower seeds from different aspects.1. The germination percent, germination index and vigor index of sunflower, collard and pansy seeds were studied during and after the process of ultradrying. The results indicated that: germination percent of sunflower seeds had no significant changes during ultradrying, the germination percent, germination index and vigor index of ultradried sunflower seeds were significant diferent from unultradried after being aged, the ultradrying storage helped to keep the vigor of sunflower seeds and especially all indexes of ultradried sunflower seeds (MC=2.08%) were improved most, while the vigor index and fresh weight of the seeds (MC=1.27%) were lower than that of the seeds (MC=2.08%) . The vigor of collard seeds had no great changes during ultradrying, and the seeds (MC=2.03%, 2.12%) could keep higher vigor; the vigor of pansy seeds (MC=3.76%) after being aged were greatly improved compared with unultradried seeds. These results showed that ultradrying storage could improve the capacity of anti-aging and prolong the longevity of seeds, and contribute to preserve germplasm.2. Sugar,heat-stable proteins,MDA and anti-oxidation enzyme system were studied while sunflower seeds being dried. (1) General sugar content had no significant changes, reductive sugar content rised significantly,non-reductive sugar content fell slightly and the ratio of non-reductive and reductive sugar content fell significantly during dehydrating. These results showed that ultradrying could result in the accumulating of reductive sugar and reductive and non-reductive sugar content closely related to the sunflower seeds of ultradrying-tolerance.(2)Heat-stable proteins content showed ascending trend during dehydrating, and the content of moderate dried seeds(MC=3.67%,2.08%)was higher.(3 )With the decreasing of seeds moisture content, the MDA content of seeds accumulated. These results showed the MDA content of seeds were lower, oxygen free-radical could result in the superoxidation of... |
