The Protection And Utilization And Study On The Resources Of Wild Medical Vertebrate In Longdong Area Of Gansu Province

The definition of medical animal is the animal whose body or partial body was used to be the medicine, is called animal medicine. It is a vital consists of the resources of Chinese medicine. The animal has a long history in the treasury of Chinese medicine. The active parts of medical animals have so many benefits, such as, strong drug efficacy, small dose, better and monopolize curative effect, less side-effect. Also, it has a wide medical resource and especially defenses the cancer and lack immunity illness. Therefore, it is very reasonable to carry out the investigation of medical animals and the study in the comprehensive development and protection, which would accelerate the economical growth and the development of Chinese medicine in Longdong area.During the time from 2004 to 2005, we have investigated the species, distribution and drug efficacy in Longdong highland by the means of zoology filed practice, which is according to the compartmentalized area of Longdong;Form south to north, we have studied and collected various specimens in different habitant, plant types and environment of Longdong. The result shows that: the wild medical vertebrates of Longdong have 151species, 4classes, 54families, and 110genuses, there are 8 species of fish, 1 class, 2families, and 7 geniuses, which takes up 5.3% of all. The amphibious animal has 7 species;2 classes, 4 families, and 4 geniuses, which takes up 4.6%if all. The creeper has 27 species, 3 classes, 7 families, 16 geniuses, which takes up 17.9% of all. The medical bird has 81 species, 15 classes, 27 families, 55 geniuses, which takes up 53.6% of all. The medical mammal has 30 species, 7 classes, 14 families, 26 geniuses, which takes up 19.9% of all. Also, there are so many protected, benefic and economical wild animals, such as, Aquila chrysaetos, Aquila albicilla, Otis tarda, Accipiter gentiles, Aix galericulata, Chyrysolophus pictus, Pucrasia macrolopha, Manis pentadactyla, Naemorhedus goral caudatus, Procapra gutturosa, Moschus lerezovskii.The development of wild medical resources makes a good use of the conscious activity of human beings, is based on the advanced scientific skill and method, and explores the abundant resources to defeat all the illness. According to the investigation and study of wild animal resources, we mentioned the concept of comprehensive development, domestication and replaced project. It is very reasonable for protecting wild medical animals to explore the medical animals. At the same time, we have mentioned the actions and methods of protecting the wild medical animal resources of Longdong . So I want to suggest that we should enhance and pay more attention to the study of medical animals, such as, improving the rate of propagation and the condition of domesticating, accumulating the evidence of documents.Enhancing the effect of wild medical vertebrate;developing our Chinese medicine and meeting the needs of our market, which would show us the evidence of developing cultivation and helps us go to the way to be richer. Enhancing the continuance development of Chinese medicine makes the wild medical animal to be coordinate development so that it makes the ecological effect to be sure, and integrate the economical effect with social effect.
