The Colibacillosis is a kind of acute, multi-type infection disease in alimentary canal by pathogenic E. coil. It can seriously affect survival rate of piglets. The clinical symptom is yellow dysentery of newborn piglets, white dysentery of piglets and pig edematous disease. These three kinds of diseases produce great harm to the pig industry, are in the first among all harms in pig industry, seriously threaten pig industry development. So how to prevent and control these diseases becomes an important project in pig industry. The results got from this study are as follow:Firstly, Epidemiology of pig Colibacillosis was investigated in 22 scale pig farms of Yantai. The results indicated that pig Colibacillosis is related to age, sow, breeds, hygiene conditions, introduction of sick pigs, climate and feed; but not related to district and sex. The average incidence of yellow and white dysentery is 27.0%±3.4%, the average mortality 16.4%±1.9%. The average incidence of edematous disease is 14.7%±3.3%, the average mortality 10.0%±1.2%.Secondly, 80 samples have been collected from pig farms with Colibacillosis in five counties. Bacteria separation, bio-chemical experiments, serum type identification and medicine sensibility carried out. The results show that the main E. coil strains in the region are O139, O138, O101, O45, O6. The strains with different serum type from the same farm have similar medicine sensibility. But the medicine sensibility among the strains from different farms, even the same strains, has great difference.Thirdly, in order to observe the protective effect of microorganism preparation (the product of HX) to Colibacillosis of newborn pigs, the feeding experiment used microorganism preparation (the product of HX) had been...
