The Geographic Information System Of Soil And Water Conservation Of Small Watershed Of NanJing And The Application Of This System

The well known GIS expert of Canada R.F.Tomlinson used the scientific term of "Geographic information system " in his paper "Geographic information system of region programming" in the science meeting of (CSIRO) in 1968, and gave out the definition of GIS, it is the first using of "GIS" , being a new subject ,GIS has developed well and has applied in many fields because of its strong function. COMGIS is one of tendency of GIS, I expatiate conception of COMGIS and application in my researching.In this researching the writer develop GIS in Water and Soil Conservation based small watershed of Nanjing, and discuss the application of GIS in Water and Soil Conservation based Small watershed, through data management, thematic map function, map added analyzing and so on, based of system demanding analyzing. The writer has used the technology of map layer processing, data processing, the union of space data and attribute data, the converting of vector to grid, map calculating with program language, made the grid data of soil erosion standard data of small watershed and other data. The writer build database of Soil and Water Conservation of NanJing based on the DBMS software—Microsfot SQL Server 2000, and carried out GIS of Soil and Water Conservation of small Watershed of Nanjing with Mapobjects (COMGIS), this system will manage the small watershed efficiently, service for Nanjing Soil and Water conservation programming and fathering.In this paper the writer introduce other researching of soil and water conservation, and Evaluated by using universal soil loss equation (USLE), analyzing effecting of the factors to Soil and Water Loss and the data of passing years. Forecasting the trend of future, doing decision-making of fathering, users can do program and farther with credible data for small watershed, the writer introduce the application of FuJiaBian small watershed with this system. In the researching the researcher divided Nanjing to 332 watersheds, in order to surveillance and program and farther soil and water erosion of Nanjing based in small watershed.
