Chloramphenicol,Thiamphenicol and Florfennicol all belong to the same species of drug. Among these drugs, Chloramphenicol can lead to adverse effect such as aplastic anemia, suppression in immunity and allergy. So do the thiamphenicol. Florfenicol, a new chemosynthesis broad spectrum antibiotic of chloramphenicol analogues, is a fluorinated derivative of thiamphenicol. Florfenicol becomes the substitute of chloramphenicol for its low toxicity, little pollution and broad antibacterial spectrum and it also has activity against some bacterial that are resistant to most common antibiotic, especially in that it has no adverse effect that causes the irreversible aplastic anemia in human and animals as chloramphenicol. Since it was succesefully studied and produced, it was widely used in veterinary clinic. But now many reports about its side effect come out.Pigs were administered florfenicol of different dosages orally for one week during inoculating period for investigating the adverse effects of the drugs on antibody production, some physiological and biochemical index, supermicro texture of blood cell. Blood samples were collected in different times after oral administration. The results indicated that : Pigs which received florfenicol at a low dosage of 30mg/kg.Fodder and 30mg/kg.BW were healthy, whereas pigs that received florfenicol at amiddle and high dosage of 60,120mg/kg.Fodder and 60,120mg/kg.BW had diarrhoea. The active of AST/GOT, ALP, LDH,γGT and BUN were significantly higher in pigs that received florfenicol at a dosage of 30,60,120mg/kg.Fodder than pigs that didn't receive florfenicol. The active of ALT/GPT,γGT and BUN were markedly higher in pigs that received florfenicol at a dosage of 30,60,120mg/kg. BW than pigs that didn't receive florfenicol. But the active of ALP and the content of TP was significantly decreased in pigs that were administered florfenicol of a dosage of 60,120mg/kg.BW. Florfenicol was harmful to liver and kidney. The immune proteins and the antibody of swinefever wasn't significantly changed...
