| A two factorial trait was designed to study the effect of level of lactic acid bacteria on the quality of rice stalk silages, the experiment material was fresh rice stalk (dongnong 03-8)and lactic acid bacteria. One factor was silage methods , the other is Lactic acid bacteria which was added at level of 0, 2.0×105cfu/g, 3.0×105cfu/g, or 4.0×105cfu/g (fresh basis) respectively to long rice stalk silage and short rice stalk silage. The trail included two groups, long silage(â… ) and short silage(â…¡), in which lactobacillus was added at levels of 0,A(2.0×105cfu/g),B(2.0×105cfu/g) or C(4.0×105cfu/g), respectively and the mixtures were placed into a vacuum-packed polyethylene bags and stored at room temperature. At the same time the whole corn silage was done, which was used to evaluate the feed value of rice stalk silages. 45d latter, determining the quality of all silages. The result showed that pH value and the percentage of NH3-N in TN (NH3-N/TN) decreased gradually with the increase of level of lactic acid bacteria, the content of organic acid in rice stalk increased with the amount of lactic acid bacteria, especially, the content of lactic acid. The content of NDF decreased with the amount of lactic acid bacteria additive, however, the content of ADF and CP increased (p>0.05). Lactic acid bacteria had a remarkable effect on fermentation characteristics of rice stalk. In the experiment the optimal quality of rice stalk silage can be obtained when lactobacillus was added at level of 2.0×105cfu/g or 4.0×105cfu/g .There was a difference between short silge and long silage to the silage quality of same material. The result showed that silage methods had a remarkable effect on pH value, lactic acid and total acid of rice stalk silages (p<0.05). The content of ADF in long silage and short silage was difference (p<0.05), however, there was no different in content of DM, NDF and CP (p>0.05). The long silage is feasible on condition of eligible level of lactic acid bacteria. The experiment contrasted the feed value between rice stalk silages and whole corn silage. with NEL and GI. The result showed that the feed value of rice stalk silages was that of 55%-75% whole corn silage. The higher of lactic acid bacteria level, the higher of the value. The rice stalk silages, treated with lactic acid bacteria, can partly substitute with whole corn silage. It is significant to add the forage resource of dairy cattle and reasonably use the rice stalk. |
