The oversized noise and the high failure rate are the tractor's familiar problems. In order to solve problem of tractor's noise, main noise source should be identified firstly. Presently, commonly used methods for tractor's noise identification have strict request to measurement environment, and there measurement period are long. In the aspect of failure diagnosis, it is usually depended upon the methods of experience and contact type sensor, but these methods have some limitation in the project application. So, designing a kind of special measure system which can be used for tractor's noise identification and failure diagnosis simultaneously will have meaningful important scientific significance and applied value.The research started on the theory of sound intensity and wavelet analysis, based on virtual instrument platform of LabVIEW, explored a set of measure system for tractor's noise identification and failure diagnosis. The measurement system identifies the tractor's noise by using of sound intensity method, it needn't specific measurement environment and has short measurement period. It can diagnose the tractor's flameout failure while the noise signal had been analyzed with wavelet. The research's main conclusion is as follows:1) Based on theories of noise identification with sound intensity and failure diagnosis with wavelet analysis, established a set of system for tractor's noise signal collection and disposition by using of virtual instrument platform of LabVIEW.2) The measurement included sound intensity detector, signal processing circuit, PCI-6040Edata acquisition card and test software. Test software included data acquisition and saving program module, sound intensity calculation module, sound intensity spectrum analysis module, correlation analysis module and results demonstration module.3) Measurement system used sound intensity to identify tractor's noise and it had no specific limitation to acoustics environment when measuring. It can diagnose the tractor's flameout failure while the noise signal had been analyzed with wavelet. It was non-disassemble and un-contacted measurement and avoided the problems of sensor placement difficulty, limited space and hard to measure etc.4) The test result included that the Shenniu SN250 tractor's main noise source are the...
