| At the first ages of 21 century, the development of science technology based on the network technique has greatly stimulated progresses of measurement and controlment fields which leading to some new test ideas and test methods constantly to produce. Virtual instrument, as a new developing field, is becoming a very attracting technology in many fields. However, compared with the rapid developments all over the world, agricultural technology in our country such as measurement and transportation has also been at a very low level and is urging a convenient and fast inspection techniques and systems to change the current situations. Adapting to these requirements, this paper has developed a tractor performance testing system integrated with network, virtual technology, sensors and database techniques. The main parts of this system include network, database and software Lab VIEW analysis for testing signals modules. All these functions in the system have expanded current measurement methods and strengthen the applications fields of virtual instrument. The main contents of the paper:1. Research backgroundThis section has made out a new tractor inspection method based on virtual instrument after generalizing present tractor technology development, testing methods and existing problems.2. Virtual technologyIn this section, firstly, introduce virtual instrument development and analyze the main principles in tractor testing projects (including shaft mass, left-and-right side trigging forces, smoke density, noise and velocity). Secondly, propose a generaldesign combined multifunction data acquisition devices (DAQ) with Lab VIEW diagram language. Its principle is as following: acquire and modulate the analog signals from sensors placed in environments through DAQ device on real time, then transit the information to computers by PCI bus; in the other hand, noise information tested with sound level meter is passed through interface RS-232 to computers. The primary software operation in this system is to handle, analyze, manage, network transfer and remote control for the information where the information management mainly consists of data open, display, save, print, review and etc.3. Internet technologyThe network applications and development in measurement field have been introduced in this section. In the tractor inspection system of this paper, software tool package Internet toolkit and DataSocket of Lab VIEW have been selected for information network transfer and publish. Especially with LabVNC technique, it has fulfilled user's remote controlment and tractor test control functions on the spot.4. Sensor technologyThe main content of this section is to present some sensor techniques and measurement devices (especially tension-compression type sensor, Hall sensor, smoke density meter and sound level meter) as well as their corresponding modulating modules. Meanwhile, it has stated the PCI-6024E data acquisition board of NI company, hardware design of the new testing system in structure design and accomplishment in acquisition of external signals.5. Database techniqueLinking tractor inspection system with database software Access, this part has completed operations between them such like read and write data to database or inspection system. Moreover, utilizing the database technology, in most cases, can expand the software Lab VIEW functions to other management systems.6. Tractor integrated inspection system analysis and measurementThrough applying kinds of techniques to signals analysis (e.g. windows addition treatment, spectrum, filter, fitting and etc.) and doing tests on real time, the system parameters have been improved to more precise degree. Finally, the end section inthe paper have put award some prospects in virtual instruments. |
