The paper was involved in determining the effect of dietary avilamycin on growth performance, body compositon, digestive enzyme, hematology and histology of common carp (Cyprinus carpio). It consisted of three experiments. In growth experiment â…  and â…¡, 4.0g and 60.0g juvenile carp were used respectively. They were fed to diets supplemented with 0mg/kg, 2mg/kg, 4mg/kg, 8mg/kg, 16mg/kg, 32mg/kg avilamycin, respectively. Subsequent weight gain rate(WGR), special growth rate(SGR), feed conversion ratio(FCR) and feed rate(FR) were determined. Additionally, some physiological parameters such as the number of red blood cell and white blood cell, the content of hemoglobin, sedimentation rate of red blood cell, the concentration of Na+, K+, Cl-, Mg2+ and Ca2+ in serum, some biochemical parameters such as glucose, total protein, albumin, urea, creatinine, cholesterol, triglycerides and the activity of glutamate-oxaloacetate transaminase(GOT), glutamate-pyruvate transaminase (GPT) and alkaline phosphatase(ALP) in the serum and morphometrical parameters were all measured and histopathology of visceral organs were observed in the experiment â…¡. Experiment â…¢ was conduceted to deterimine the effect of dietary avilamycin levels (0mg/kg, 4mg/kg, 8mg/kg, 24mg/kg, 72mg/kg, 216mg/kg, 648mg/kg, respectively) on weight gain rate, special growth rate, feed conversion rate, feed rate and the activity of the protease, amylase and lipase in foregut, midgut, hindgut and hepatopancreas of juvenile carp(initial mean weight: 60g). Apparent digestibility coefficients of dry matter, protein and lipid were obtained in 0mg/kg, 4mg/kg, 8mg/kg and 24mg/kg of dietary avilamycin levels. The main results were summarized as follows:1. The weight gain rate increased by 7.38%-24.66% in growth experiment â…  , by 29.33% - 119.62% in growth experiment â…¡ and by 4.70% 35.33% in growth experimentâ…¢ when juvenile carp were fed diets containing 2mg/kg - 32mg/kg avilamycin in experiment â…  and â…¡, and 2mg/kg - 24mg/kg avilamycin in growth experimentâ…¢ respectively. Especially, the effect of 4mg/kg-8mg/kg avilamycin were best. However, the growth of carp fed diets with 72mg/kg avilamycin and more were depressed in growth experimentlll. The feed conversion ratio of common carp fed diets with 2mg/kg-32mg/kg avilamycin for 63d reduced significantly, and that of groups at dose of 4mg/kg-8mg/kg avilamycin were lower than other groups. The feed rate of common carp fed diets with 4mg/kg-32mg/kg avilamycin for 63d were lower than control group slightly. When the common carp averaging 4.0 were fed diets containing avilamycin for 84d...
