The bioactivities of 4 solvent (acetone, ethanol, ethyl acetate and petroleum ether) extracts from 21 kinds of plants against the adult of Lasioderma serricorne Fabricius were determinded. The results showed that the extracts from AGS,CTM, CMI, SJA, ACS, AKI, ACI and TFG had good insecticidal activities. Studies of the toxicity of solvent extracts from 8 plants showing that the AGS ethyl acetate extract had the best contact effect. The ingredients of the extract was determined as a-asaron and β-asaron by column chromatography, thin layer chromatography and GC-MS, respectively. The main results followed as below:1. 4 solvent (acetone, ethanol, Ethyl acetate and Petroleum ether) extracts from 21 kinds of plant against the adult of Lasioderma serricorne had contact and repellent effect. The preliminary results showed that the extracts from AGS , CTM, CMI, SJA, ACS, AKI, ACI and TFG had better contact toxicity , and the average corrected mortality were between 80% and 100% . Alpinia officinarum solvent extracts had better repellent effect, and the average repellent rate were above 80%.2 .The LC50 of 4 solvent (acetone, ethanol, Ethyl acetate and Petroleum ether) extracts from AGS was 1.0926mg/ml, 0.3131mg/ml, 0.3366mg/ml and 0.1935mg/ml, and had best contact toxicity .3. The active ingredient of the AGS extract was determined as a-asaron by column chromatography, thin layer chromatography and GC-MS, respectively.
