Study On The Occurrence And Control Of Lasioderma Serricorne (Fabricius) In Tobacco Storage Of Changsha

Cigarette beetle is a primary pest in stored tobacco in Hunan.There are many problem in control measures at present.The purpose of the study is to understand the occurrence regularity of cigarette beetle in Hunan and to improve control technique.Therefore,this paper include several aspects of study as follows.1 .Understand the emergence dynamic of cigarette beetle by indoor-rearing and investigation in storage. Cigarette beetle completes three generations with obvious overlapping generations per year in Hunan, the first adult was seen to emerge in the first ten days of May.The adult appears three peaks per year in the end of May, the first ten days of august and the first ten days of September.2. By low-temperature treatment of larvae of Hunan population and Henan population, conclusion is death rate increased when treatment time prolonger.All larvae exposed at 0°C continuous 20 days died. There are differences of cold resistance among individuals and between two populations. Low temperature could be a kind of control measure.3. Compared results on traping cigarette beetle adult by Using different dose lure. Determined 3.0mg sex pheromone is proper dose to release vehicle made of natural rubber.4.Completed the toxicity test of some medicaments in laboratory and selected two medicaments mixed ligand. The results showed that Beta-cypermethrin and Pirimiphos-methyl are good medicaments for control cigarette beetle.5.By PH₃ fumigated cigarette beetle larvae and egg in tent closed by plastic film found that PH₃ has extremely good penetrating effect to paperboard smokebox and cigarette beetle egg's antitoxic is stronger than larvae, 250ml/m³ PH₃ can kill all of them after 132h at 23℃.
