Small Tail Han Sheep (200) comes from ShangDong provice and Dorset sheep(30) comes from BeiJing are studied as experimental material, Polymorphisms of Gonadotropin releasing hormone receptor(GnRHR) gene, Bone morphogenetic protein 15(BMP15)gene and Bone morphogenetic protein receptor (BMPR-IB) gene are detected, The polymorphism of exon 2 and part sequence of exon 1 of GnRHR gene in Small Tail Han sheep and Dorset sheep is analyzed by PCR-SSCP. Single nucleotide polymorphism of BMPR-IB and BMP15 genes are detected in Small Tail Han ewes by PCR-RFLP. The synergistic effect of the two genes on the prolificacy in Small Tail Han sheep is studied. We attempt to find the link of high productivity and those candidate genes,to provide some scientific evidence for our country's basic genetic research on high productivity of small tail han sheep. The results are as the following: (1) The optimum method of PCR-SSCP about GnRHR gene has been established.
