This thesis was designed to research factors affecting parthenogenetic activation of porcine oocytes matured in vitro .The text was arranged in two parts:the first part is a critical review of research in the field; the second part includes three sections: (1) effects of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, energy substrate, amino acids on in vitro maturation of porcine oocytes and in vitro development of porcine parthenogenetic embryos (section 1) ; (2) effects of EDTA-Na on in vitro maturation of porcine oocytes and in vitro development of porcine parthenogenetic embryos(section 2); (3) effects of the different chemical activation methods and electro-activation parameters on the vitro development of porcine parthenogenetic embryos (section 3), in order to improve the efficiency of parthenogenetic activation and nuclear transfer of porcine oocytes. Conclusion: (1) relatively high concentration of energy substrate is detrimental to in vitro maturation of porcine oocytes;(2) relatively high concentration of energy substrate +amino acids in culture medium is detrimental to the early development of porcine parthenogenetic embryos;(3) addition of 100μM EDTA-Na to maturation medium is the most beneficial to the early development of porcine parthenogenetic embryos in vitro;(4) addition of 100μM EDTA-Na to embryo culture medium is the most beneficial to the early development of porcine parthenogenetic embryos in vitro; (5) addition of 100μM EDTA-Na to maturation medium and culture medium is beneficial to the early development of porcine parthenogenetic embryos in vitro;(6) addition of different...
