With the constant deepening of the precise agricultural ideology in the production of pasturage, the test for breeder individual performance plays a key role in breeding. Feeding activity is one of the most basic activities that an animal depends on for existence. It's the main part to analyze how to obtain individual practical intake and correlative data of feeding activity and the main part of analyzing individual performance. However, the behavior of feeding is a complicated one involving many factors such as physical factor, psychology factor and environmental factor, it is indispensable to draw upon the means which introduces assistant computer system to monitor and record the data of the animals' optional feeding behaviors.Digital Signal Processors (DSP) is a new technology that develop rapidly and has been applied in different fields in recent years , especially in the disposal of high-speed digital signal , high-speed collection, data transmission, digital communication , image manipulation and sound manipulation, etc.. The series of TMS320 from TI Company is representative in Digital Signal Processors .The paper use TMS320F2812 just consider its excellence and currency in digital signal disposal field. For its excellence and practicality in the disposal of digital signal, the paper choose TMS320F2812 as processor. Aimed at meet the requirement of monitoring breeder food intake activity, the paper designed a monitoring set based on DSP. Content of the research are as follows:1. Identify breeder individual:identify breeder individual communication by Radio Frequency Identification.2. Obtaining the information of feeding activity:it used Digital Signal Processors to obtain the information of operated weighing sensor,temperature sensor,the estate of controller switch etc.3. The communication between monitoring and main controller: main controller connected with Controller Area Network by node inter-circuit, took over signal sent by monitor and control set, and sent control signal to monitor and control set. Controller Area Network realized data collection and the output of controlling signal from more ways.4. The communication between the system main controller and up-computer:it communicated serially between the system master controller and up-computer.5. Output of food intake controlling signals:control information receiving of monitoring set, switch controlling of gate,feeding hopper,feedstuff delivering set.6. The design of up-computer:the up-computer adopt Personal Computer, and use the system's software which was explored on the basis of Visual Basic 6.0, and take-over the data sent from each the intake set of monitor and control, and deposit it in database. User can deal with individual breeder intake data by utilizing the function of searching, managing and setting up etc,...
