In this study,we investigated the jeopardiousness and symptoms of pepper virus diseases in ShaanXi province and identified the viruses by biological reaction on different host plant,DAS-ELISA , EM and so on detecting technologies of pepper virus diseases in ShaanXi province。A half-leaf method was used to determine protective, curative, and inactivation efficacies, both in vivo and in vitro, of virusicides against tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) and cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) in Lab. Virusicides of good efficacies in laboratory determination of the toxic activity were used to control pepper virus diseases in field test. The results are as follows:(1) Pepper virus diseases can occur in all of the pepper cultivated areas in ShaanXi province. The symptoms of pepper virus diseases have three kinds, they are mosaic, abnormality and necrosis respectively.The degree of jeopardize is of difference in different years .Generally,the rate of disease was 20%-40%,and the rate of disease was over 60% in the severity fields.If the weather is hot and drought, the rate of disease was over 90% and the losses caused by virus infection could reach up to 30%-60%. The degree of jeopardize is of difference in different regions in the same year.(2)Pepper were mainly planting among the wheat in SHannXi province.Pepper virus diseases occurred in the middle or last ten-days of May, and seriously took place between June and July. Pepper can be infected by viruses from seedling to adult period. With the growth of pepper, incidence of virus disease will decline, and the impact on pepper's output is also decline, too.(3) The investigation and identification results to the virus varieties of pepper virus disease in ShaanXi showed that CMV, TMV, PVY, TEV and BBWV had been found, part of them are mix-infection. Of them, CMV and TMV were detected in high frequency, the frequencies of CMV and TMV was 59.52% and 30.15% respectively.(4) The detection results to the pepper seeds showed that viruses could be transmitted by pepper seeds. And the hided position of viruses was seed capsule. CMV ,TMV, and PVY had been found, the frequencies of them was 88.63%,14.30%, and 6.30% respectively.(5) A half-leaf method was used to determine protective, curative, and inactivation efficacies, both in vivo and in vitro, of virusicides against tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) and cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) in Lab.
