| The pathogenic E. coli is the main reason that causes the animal and mankind's diarrhea. How to cure diarrhea, reduce the quantity of pathogenic germs and its toxins in intestines is always the concerned problem.Combined with the non-antibiotic substances--cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC),CPC-montmorillonite (CPC-M), CPC-zeolite (CPC-Z) and CPC-Carbon nonotubes (CPC-C) was made as the materials which can not only inhibit E.coli but also adsorb endotoxin. As the results showed, the quantity of CPC loaded on carbon nanotube is much higher than that on montmorillonite and zeolite. Carbon nanotubes combined with CPC mainly by physical adsorption. Montmorillonite and zeolite combined with CPC by both physical and chemical adsorption.The inhibitive effects of CPC-M, CPC-Z and CPC-C on E.coli was researched by simulating the intestine circumstance(pH: about 7, T: about 37℃). CPC-C showed the highest inhibitive effect on E.coli. The inhibitive effects of the three kind of materials on E.coli changed with their quantities in direct ratio. The results also showed that the inhibitive speed of CPC-C is the highest one, followed by montmorillonite and zeolite. The pH value affects slightly to their inhibitive ability, whereas the change of temperature affects their inhibitive ability highly. All materials' sterilized ability heightened with the higher temperature, and the CPC-C's was approved to be affected by temperature highly. The inhibitive effects of CPC-M, CPC-Z and CPC-C on E.coli was reduced by Lys. The degree of reduction accreted with the concentration of Lys increased.The anti-virus can kill germ effectively, but endotoxin was come into being by the death of germ, and the existance of a great deal of endotoxin will bring about negative influence on the animal body. So, the adsorption of montmorillonite, zaolite, carbon nanotube, CPC-M, CPC-Z and CPC-C on endotoxin was studied. Through matching Langmiur equation, the biggest adsorb quantity of each material to endotoxin was calculated: CPC-C (357.0 EU/mg) > C (268.6 EU/mg) > CPC-M (116.3 EU/mg) > M (96.9 EU/mg) > CPC-Z (86.3 EU/mg) > Z (76.8 EU/mg).The existence of Lys decreases the adsorb quantity of each material on endotoxin obviously, and the lowering degree increases with the higher Lys concentration.The materials combined with CPC has not only sterilized ability, but also a higher adsorption ability to endotoxin in the meantime. Among them, the CPC-C was proved to be the material that has the highest sterilized and adsorptive ability to endotoxin.
