Newcastle disease virus (NDV) with a wide pathogenicity, a representative of Avian paramyxoviruses-I, is one of the main plagues that are harmful to poultry industry, which can infect poultry or birds naturally or experimentally. But waterfowl such as goose or duck can resist to NDV that can't infect them but can be carried with them.. However, many strains of paramyxovirus with strong pathogenicity separated from gooses can invade gooses even fowl, pigeon and duck, the toxicity of which is similar to NDV. The prevalence of NDV has led to a heavy loss, an enormous threat to poultry industry and become one of the main contagious diseases that restrict the deeper development of poultry industry.In view of APMV-I caused by gooses or fowl that can lead to a severe morbility and death of waterfowl and then threaten the healthy development of poultry industry, it is necessary to study on the bionomics and genovariation laws of paramyxovirus caused by gooses, which can lay a foundation for the transmission of NDV between different strains.In this study, the newcastle disease virus(F48E9) and the goose paramyxovirus NA-1 that has been separated, purified and identified in our loboratory were proliferated with SPF embryonated egg, then the hemagglutination(HA) valency and the infectivity to embryonated egg and embryonated egg fibroblast were determined.
