Analysis On Present Resources And Counter-measure On Protection And Utilization In Tianzhu White Yak

Tianzhu white yak, regional yak, is a rare animal in China, and plays a role in animal production. Therefore, how to utilize it is important for farmers and policy-makers. Based on analyzing on environmental conditions and market needs in Tianzhu County, Varieties of Tianzhu white yak, its advantageous aspects and disadvantageous in utilization, and how to protect it was discussed in this paper. According to market needs and usable status of Tianzhu white yak, the following strategies were proposed in this study. Firstly, it is necessary to make a comprehensive development plan for rational utilization. Secondly, it is effort to breed in order to improve quality of varieties. Thirdly, establishing pasture and protect grassland will be the base for further increasing productivity of white yak. Fourthly, Visiting white yak will make tour industry further develop because White yak is a symbol of Tibetan culture. Fifthly, it is practical to accelerate enterprise development by making industry of white yak become a famous brand. Sixthly, science research is very important and must be paid attention. This study also insights into future development of Tianzhu white yak, and its benefits was forecasted, which will provide usable information for farmers and policy-makers.
